Dr Bernard Healy, Principal Partner at Moorefield Medical Clinic announces exciting plans for the clinic to grow its team and services.

“ I am delighted to announce that Dr Bismil Ali has agreed to join the clinic long-term. As many of our existing patients will know, Dr Bismil has been working with us, on a locum basis, for almost 2 years, and in that time, he has proven to be an excellent clinician, and avaluable addition to our practice. He has also been a great support for our growing team at the clinic, especially to me, after a very busy and intense few years since COVID19 pandemic.” 

The Clinic has also announced an exciting new move, to Unit B, The Courtyard, Main Street (beside Eddie Rockets) that has the capacity to accommodate the increasing needs of the practice.

“ While I have had very happy times and memories at our current location, we have outgrown the space available to us. So, we were thrilled to find a premises with the space to grow and improve the services we provide for our patients, and so close to where we are currently! We had always hoped to find somewhere close to where we are, to minimise any disruption to our patients, many of whom have been with me for decades. It’s an exciting time for Moorefield Medical Clinic and I’d like to acknowledge the work and commitment of our growing team, to continually improving the service we provide for our patients ” Dr Healy said.

As you may be aware in 2023 the government announced the expansion of free GP care to all children under the age of 8 and and to households earning below the new median income threshold.

Eligible current practice patients can now apply as follows:

• If your child is aged 6 or 7, you can apply online for a Doctor Visit Card.

• If your household earns below the median income (€47,000 per year after deductibles) you can apply online for a Doctor Visit Card."

All patients applying for a new Doctor Visit Card/medical card must apply to Dr Bismil’s panel. Once you are a patient of the clinic you may be seen by either GP.
